The points are the key element in rail transport. Failures in this area lead to costly delays or train cancellations. They must be precise, they must last, and they must be easy to maintain.
In our two switch manufacturing plants of Künstler Bahntechnik GmbH in Hamm and Röblingen, we develop and manufacture highly complex and bespoke switch system solutions. In view of rising demands due to higher speeds, greater axle loads and shorter train intervals, we are continually setting new standards in switch technology.
Our many years of experience and the continuous further development of our products enable us to expand our portfolio with innovative solutions for all requirements in switch and crossing engineering. Together with our partners Heinrich Krug GmbH and Bahnbedarf Möhlau, we cover design, production, consultancy and engineering work.
Our products are manufactured in accordance with applicable standards and individual customer requirements to the highest quality standards.
For our Röblingen site, we are classified as Q1 by Deutsche Bahn AG and hold a manufacturer-related product qualification. Both certificates apply to the following products:
Qualified manufacturing processes: Quenching and tempering, welding in accordance with DB Ril 826.2020 and mechanical machining.

We develop, produce and supply our systems in any desired combination of rail profile, grade, geometry and track gauge. Our products are characterised by high availability, reliability and ease of maintenance. We achieve short construction times through the delivery of pre-assembled parts.

Our trained skilled workers and certified track welders provide the following services:
Refurbished switches are a cost-effective alternative, particularly in industrial and private sidings. We refurbish used switches according to trade association standards A and B and document their condition.
Our approved track welders work for speeds exceeding 160 km/h.
