The ballast is the foundation of every track. It distributes the load, holds the track in position, dampens vibrations and ensures drainage. If the ballast is poor, even the best rail is of no use.
Through our group partner, BFV Recycling GmbH, we supply new and recycled track ballast as well as gravel, sand and other bulk materials in the required gradings and quantities directly to your construction site by lorry, train or ship.
What goes into the bedding determines positional stability and drainage. We supply three groups, all from certified plants.

Processed recycled crushed stone as an economical and resource-saving alternative, quality-assured through sampling and classification.

Ballast for the Deutsche Bahn network requires certifications, not just particle size. BFV Recycling GmbH provides them.
New and RC track ballast comes from certified supply plants. Short distances to the construction site are decisive for the price of bulk materials, which is why we deliver from the plant that is closest.

Depending on the quantity and construction site, we deliver by truck, train or ship. Via the Baustoffzentrum Ruhrtal in the Dortmunder port, we have a trimodally connected transhipment location.
With bulk materials, the route to the construction site dictates the price. That is why we deliver from the nearest plant.
