This website does not use any analytics or marketing tools. When first accessed, no content is loaded from external servers and no cookies are set that require consent. Fonts are hosted on our own server. Content from external providers, currently a YouTube video and job advertisements from JOIN, is only loaded once you explicitly click on it.
This website is operated by Alfahosting GmbH, Edmund-von-Lippmann-Straße 13-15, 06112 Halle (Saale), Germany. Alfahosting processes the data on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
Every time a page is loaded, your browser technically transmits data to the server, where it is stored in log files:
We need this data to deliver the website, ensure its stability and security, and ward off attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and error-free operation of the website. The log data is not merged with other data and is automatically deleted after the period set by the hoster has expired, unless it is required for longer to investigate a specific security incident.
The website is served exclusively via an encrypted connection (TLS). You can recognise this by „https://“ in the address bar. Data that you transmit to us, for example via the contact form, cannot therefore be read by third parties.
Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device. The storage of information on your device and access to it are only permitted with your consent in accordance with Section 25(1) of the German Telecommunications-Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG), unless they are strictly necessary for a service you have requested (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).
For the management of your consents, we use a consent tool based on the open-source software Klaro, which runs entirely on our own server. No data is transmitted to third parties in the process. We store your selection in the „ds_consent“ cookie for 180 days so that you are not asked again every time you access a page.
To be able to prove that consent has been given or refused (Article 7(1) GDPR), we log every decision with a randomly generated identifier that is stored in your browser („ds_consent_id“), your selection, the time, the page visited, the browser identifier and a non-reversible hash value of your IP address. Your IP address itself is not stored. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with Article 7(1) GDPR. The log entries are automatically deleted after three years.

When you write to us via the contact form, we process the details you provide there: company, first name, surname, telephone number, email address, your query and your message, as well as the page from which you opened the form. When you submit the form, your IP address and browser identifier are also stored so that we can detect abuse. Entries are automatically checked for typical spam patterns before being sent; this check runs on our server, and no data is transmitted to third parties.
Your enquiry will be forwarded by email to the relevant members of staff, copied to the service provider responsible for the technical maintenance of the website, and stored in the website's database. We use the information exclusively to process your enquiry and to get in touch with you. The same applies if you contact us by email or telephone.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, insofar as your enquiry is directed towards a contract or the initiation of one, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in responding to enquiries addressed to us. The mandatory fields are required for processing. We will delete your details as soon as your enquiry has been finally dealt with and there are no statutory retention obligations, such as under commercial or tax law, to the contrary.
If you apply to us, for example via the contact form, by email or through a job advertisement on JOIN, we will process your details and documents to carry out the application process. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 88 GDPR. If no employment relationship is established, we will delete your documents no later than six months after the end of the process, unless you have consented to longer retention.
On individual pages, we embed videos from the YouTube platform. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The video is only loaded once you click „Load once“ or „Always allow“. No connection to YouTube is established before this.
Following your click, we use the enhanced privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Even so, Google will receive your IP address, the page visited and technical information about your device, and YouTube may set cookies when playing. A transfer to Google LLC in the USA cannot be ruled out. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the transfer is based on the adequacy decision of the European Commission of 10 July 2023 (Art. 45 GDPR).
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG, which you can revoke at any time via the cookie settings. Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
We display our vacancies via the JOIN service provided by JOIN Solutions AG, Eichenstrasse 2, 8808 Pfäffikon SZ, Switzerland. The list of vacancies is only loaded when you click „Load job vacancies“. A connection to the JOIN servers is then established, during which your IP address and technical information about your browser are transmitted.
The legal basis is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, which you grant by clicking. An adequacy decision by the EU Commission exists for Switzerland (Art. 45 GDPR). If you apply via JOIN, the JOIN privacy policy also applies: join.com/privacy-policy.
The fonts used on this website are hosted on our own server and loaded from there. No connection is made to Google or other font providers. The location map is a custom graphic and does not load any content from mapping services. The language switcher also runs on our server.
Within our company, only those departments that need them for processing are given access to your data. If your enquiry concerns another company in the Fehlings Group, we will forward it to them insofar as this is necessary to answer it. External recipients are our hoster and the service provider who provides technical support for the website, both as data processors on the basis of a contract pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR, as well as, only after you click, YouTube and JOIN. We do not sell data or pass it on for advertising purposes.
Unless a specific period is stated in these notices, we store personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention periods.

Right to object under Art. 21 GDPR: Insofar as we process your data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you have the right to object to this processing at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation. We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
