HISTORY
1929
Otto Fehlings (1896-1975) sets up the timber merchant business Fehlings in Haltern (Westphalia).
1935
The Company moves to Marl-Sinsen and expands the firm by a sawmill. The production of railway sleepers starts.
1940
The company expands further and starts production in a salt impregnation facility.
1947
The salt impregnation facility changes to coal tar oil as impregnating agent.
1964
The company is taken over by Otto Herrmann Fehlings.
1987
The impregnation facility in Marl-Sinsen closes down. The company is now active as a stocking firm.
1996
Dipl.-Kfm Otto Johannes Fehlings joins the company.
1997
The firm Holz-Fehlings Entsorgung GmbH is set up.
1998
The firms Holz-Fehlings Otto Fehlings Gleistechnik and Holzgroßhandlung merges with the Holz-Fehlings Entsorgung GmbH to the firm Holz-Fehlings Gleistechnik und Entsorgung GmbH.
2005
The distribution company Fehlings Weiß Gleistechnik und Entsorgung GmbH, Berlin is formed and a participating interest acquired in the new firm.
2008
Partnership with and acquisition of a participating interest in the Künstler Bahntechnik GmbH, Holzwickede
2010
The distribution company Fehlings Narosch Gleistechnik und Entsorgung GmbH, Munich is set up and a participating interest acquired in it
2015
The holding of Künstler Bahntechnik GmbH increases to 100%.
2019
The Künstler Bahntechnik GmbH relocates its headquarters from Holzwickede to Hamm.
2022
Foundation of Fehlings Gruppe AG in Baar, Switzerland
2024
Fusion of the Zico Zimmermann & Co. GmbH and the Holz-Fehlings Gleistechnik und Entsorgung GmbH
