In surface plating, the damaged contact surface is machined down and rebuilt with a plate. The sleeper can be reinstalled. That saves material, saves disposal costs and saves money.

At our Marl-Sinsen site, we operate a base-plate fitting plant for wooden sleepers for this purpose. This is complemented by a sleeper milling machine for used wooden sleepers, as well as a planing and drilling plant. This allows us to completely refurbish used sleepers: milling, fitting base plates, drilling, and, if necessary, re-drilling according to your plans.
